You’ve happened upon this website no doubt in search of support and/or answers. Counselling is a safe space to explore your world without judgement and support to search out the answers you seek to resolve current issues.
I’ve been in private practice for 14 years, in Australia and here in the UK. Anxiety and depression are key areas that I support my clients through. Life pressures are often enough for people to feel unable to cope in general or in a particular moment.
Diversity is my speciality – I work with young people from the age of 16, support couples at all stages of their relationship, specialise in maternity issues and help many through the common issues of anxiety and depression. I’ve also worked in different sides of the planet, exposed to many different cultures along the way. Cultural diversity can specifically mean the culture one is use to, not purely a country one hails from. I work with members of LGBTQ community also.
I’ve yet to come across an issue that doesn’t make sense – and contextualising a problem, can be truly powerful, allowing the person to regain a sense of control, when life can seem like a whirlwind.
Just ask and try
As a counsellor, I understand that the first step can be daunting, but a counsellor will support you to feel safe . Our first session is for you to try out what counselling with me feels like – it’s important it feels right for you.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one form of counselling I use – alongside a humanistic and holistic approach. Your body and mind are intrinsically linked, so I will support you to examine many aspects of how you live your daily life.
