Biography:
I studied to be a counsellor in Australia and lived in France, before settling in the UK. Originating from Ireland, I’ve experienced cultures and how they cross over and differ, even when the same language is spoken.
Professional Life:
My career started in Kids Helpline Australia (equivalent of Childline) supporting children and young people. I opened my first private in Australia, where I branched into couples therapy.
Back in the UK, saw my second private practice open, where I continue to practice 14 years on.
In 2023 I began my EMDR (Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing) training – which enables me to offer an alternative to talk therapy.
I became involved with Birth Groups advocating for and supporting pregnant people to access information to inform them fully.
I’ve been a committee member of Hampshire Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, since 2010, arranging and running evening talks, day trainings and conferences.
